All minerals completely dissolve into the water within a full run cycle. Keep the unit in the spa or pool even after minerals are dissolved. It’s okay to swim as soon as the unit is placed in the water.

Pre-installation

• Drain and refill the spa or pool, if possible.
• Test the water for metals like copper or iron.
• If the levels are above 0.2 ppm;
• Choose the right PoolRx+ product based on the pool or spa total gallons of water;
• Start with a clean filter;
• Check that pH is between 7.2 and 7.8;
• Check that chlorine level is below 10.0 (ten) ppm.

Installation

• Place the unit in the body of water. The unit will float.
• We recommend staying out of the spa during this process.
• Keep the unit in the spa or pool even after minerals dissolve, to rejuvenate the minerals as they pass pack thru the cylinder within the unit.

Post-installation (maintenance)

Note: PoolRx+ minerals will start eliminating algae once completely dissolved in the water. Minerals completely dissolve in the water within a full run cycle.

• Maintain a clean filter at all times to capture the dead algae;
• Maintain a chlorine level of 0.5 ppm to 1.0 (one) ppm with PoolRx+ products;
• If the spa or pool is green or cloudy, we recommend maintaining a chlorine level of 2.0 (two) ppm until it clears;
• Do not shock unless necessary, even if the chlorine level is low;
• Maintain the water pH between 7.2 to 7.8.

No need for other algaecides, specialty chemicals like phosphate removers or sequestration agents. Do not use with bromine or biguanides products.

PoolRx+ has a NSF 50 certification for safety and quality.

No Need to Pre-Set Filter

There is no need to pre-set the filter, since the unit is placed in the spa or pool, and the minerals will be dissolved in the body of water.

If you are starting with a dirty spa or pool, backwash or clean the filter every few days.

Chlorine and Other Chemicals

PoolRx+ products make chlorine more active. Therefore, only small amounts of chlorine are necessary (0.5 – 1.0 (one) ppm).Do not let the pH go above 7.8, as it would make the chlorine ineective.

If the spa or pool are clear, do not shock the body of water, even if the chlorine levels are low. Do not add other algaecides or phosphate removers.

Not compatible for use with bromine or biguanides products.

Efficient Filtration

Keep the filter clean to capture dead algae. Keeping the filter clean is critical for the PoolRx+ products to work eciently and help capture the dead algae in the circulation process. This will help reduce the vacuuming and brushing of algae o the pool or spa surface.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

• Clean your filter before adding the PoolRx+ spa/hot tub unit.
• Place the spa/hot tub unit into the skimmer or stick between the filter pleats.
• The spa/hot tub unit should be added when the spa/hot tub has a full run cycle to ensure the granular dissolves out of the spa unit and through the filter into the whole body of water.

The spa/hot tub should turn over its water volume at least 1.5 times per day.

Re-treatment intervals vary based upon conditions such as bather load and splash out. Replace the PoolRx+ spa/hot tub unit every time the spa/hot tub is drained or every 4 – 6 months, if algae is coming back or the water looks a little dull even though the water is balanced and has at least 0.5-1.0 ppm of chlorine.

Before draining a treated pool contact your local sanitary sewer and storm drain authorities and follow their discharge instructions. Do not discharge treated pool or spa water to any location that flows to a gutter, storm drain or natural water body unless discharge is allowed by state and local authorities.
