Product Authenticity
& Safety Notice
Protect your pool investment, equipment, your family and your community. PoolRx™ is EPA-registered and NSF-certified, meeting yearly regulatory compliance and strict quality control all through our supply chain.
Important Notice Regarding Online Sellers
There is a surge of counterfeit, fake, and unverified replica units sold by unauthorized third-party merchants on Amazon, eBay.com and other global online marketplaces. These sellers are illegally using our trademarked branding, imagery, and regulatory compliance numbers to distribute potentially unrefined, hazardous industrial chemical formulas and toxic contaminants.
Please note: PoolRx does not guarantee the safety, material compatibility, or chemical efficacy of any product purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers.
Our Regulatory Standards
EPA Registered
Genuine PoolRx products are fully registered with the Environmental Protection Agency. This guarantees our formula meets rigid safety laws.
NSF/ANSI 50 Certified
Certified by the National Sanitation Foundation for recreational water quality.
Guaranteed Safety and Effectiveness
Authentic PoolRx products contain a proprietary blend of chelated minerals to kill and prevent the growth of algae while maintaining maximum safety for swimmers and reducing unnecessary chemicals.

3 Steps to Protect Yourself
Verify the "Sold By" Merchant on Amazon
Before adding to your cart, look at the "Ships from" and "Sold by" section. If the seller name is an unknown third party instead of an authorized distributor, avoid purchasing.
Inspect Packaging and Registration
Upon receiving your unit, carefully inspect the back label to verify the presence of the EPA compliance text and the official NSF logo. Counterfeit products do not display an EPA registration number or the official NSF mark.
Report Suspected Fakes Instantly
If you suspect you have been sent a dangerous counterfeit product, take photographs, keep your invoice, and report the transaction directly to our support team (cs@poolrx.com).
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my PoolRx™ is genuine?
A genuine PoolRx™ unit always includes:
- EPA Reg. No. printed on the back label
- Official NSF mark
- PoolRx™ or PoolRx+™ branding
- Standardized PoolRx™ housing shape
- High‑quality printing and packaging
- A visible batch/lot number
If any of these elements are missing, the product is likely counterfeit.
Are Amazon sellers authorized?
PoolRx™ does not authorize random third‑party Amazon sellers. Only a limited number of verified distributors are approved. If the listing shows an unknown seller under “Sold by”, the product is not guaranteed to be genuine.
Why does the fake look similar?
Counterfeiters intentionally copy the colors, layout, and general appearance of PoolRx™ packaging to mislead customers. However, they cannot legally reproduce:
- EPA registration
- NSF certification
- PoolRx™ trademarked branding
- The exact PoolRx™ housing shape
These details make the difference.
What should I do if I bought a fake?
If you suspect your unit is counterfeit:
- Take clear photos of the product and packaging
- Keep your invoice or Amazon order details
- Stop using the product immediately
- Contact PoolRx™ support with the photos and order information
- Report the seller to Amazon for distributing counterfeit goods
Does PoolRx™ replace counterfeit units?
PoolRx™ cannot replace counterfeit or unauthorized products, as they are not manufactured, tested, or distributed by PoolRx™. However, the support team will help verify your unit and guide you on the next steps to ensure you receive a genuine, safe replacement.
Action Plan & Customer Support
PoolRx Recommended Plan to Handle Counterfeit Products
- Remove the counterfeit particles from your pool with a floc product.
- Remove any stains, if they occurred using these counterfeit products, with a stain remover product.
- Once these are removed, you can safely add the new authentic PoolRx product, following the directions of use.
We recommend you purchase an authentic PoolRx product from PoolRx.com, Amazon.com as direct seller (not 3rd party vendor), Walmart.com as direct seller (not 3rd party vendor), Walmart brick and mortar stores.
Contact Amazon.com or Walmart.com and ask for a refund for the counterfeit product. These counterfeit products are not tested, not inspected and approved by EPA and NSF, like the authentic PoolRx products.
