If the filter pressure is high and the water flow is restricted, you must backwash / clean the filter immediately. Under certain circumstances, filters can clog with various materials including the influx of PoolRx minerals. This is why we strongly recommend starting with a clean filter and placing the PoolRx unit in the skimmer (or pump basket) with minimum 4-6 hours of pump run time left.
